We are always looking for enthusiastic and capable people interested in working in a human brain-computer interface (BCI) lab for motor and speech applications.
Postdoc Position: The ideal candidates will have a PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Job function will include developing algorithms for digital/robotic interfaces, analyzing human electrophysiologic data, and setting up BCI and spinal cord stimulation rigs.
Graduate BME Students: The ideal candidates will have a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Research endeavors will include developing algorithms for digital/robotic interfaces, analyzing human electrophysiologic data, and setting up BCI and spinal cord stimulation rigs. Dr. Willsey can serve as the official mentor for graduate students completing their PhD in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) or Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).
Research Specialist (Clinical BCI Research Assistant): Primary focus is hands-on BCI session execution with participants (may involve travel), clinical trial coordination, and neural data engineering. This is an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the field at a pivotal moment. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering, neuroscience, or related fields. Most important qualities are those who are dedicated, flexible, and enjoy working with others.
